John Stanaland Group joins Douglas Elliman

The 11-member John Stanaland Group has joined Douglas Elliman Realty.

The Stanaland Group will be based out of Elliman's Newport Beach, California, office, according to a news release. Stanaland represents the fifth generation of a family with deep roots in Orange County real estate dating back to 1919. It is fitting, then, that two of his team members are also family: Rachel Stanaland, his wife, and Trevor Stanaland, his son.

In 2022, the team closed more than $300 million in sales while shattering records with two of the highest sales in Monarch Bay. Additionally, the team is also responsible for four of the five highest condo sales in all of Orange County.

"The John Stanaland Group brings enviable expertise in the coastal Orange County market," said Stephen Kotler, CEO of Douglas Elliman's Western Region. "Their dedication to providing clients with exceptional service and personal attention will be right at home here at Elliman."

The C Group gets Real

Kyle Chernetsky and Kevin Cesario, The C Group, The Real Brokerage.

The C Group of Monterey, California, has joined The Real Brokerage. The 5-agent team specializes in a variety of areas, including the luxury market and tax-related business properties.

Kyle Chernetsky joined forces with Kevin Cesario in 2013 to form the team, which includes both of their spouses, Melissa Chernetsky and Jenn Cesario.

"When presented with the opportunity to transition to Real, it just made too much sense to say no," Cesario said in a news release. "The benefits and upside offered too significant an opportunity to ignore. There is a shift in the real estate industry and Real's offering just makes too much sense."

Embracing the slogan "real estate should be fun," the team focuses on making a difference when it comes to positive real estate experiences.

"We pride ourselves on constant growth and learning to take innovative approaches," Chemetsky said. "Whether you're a buyer, seller, or just someone stopping by one of our open house events, we try to create an interesting experience that will be remembered."

Trent Luxury moves to Christie's

Morgan Trent, Trent Luxury, AKG | Christie's.

Former NFL cornerback and luxury residential real estate agent Morgan Trent has joined AKG | Christie's International Real Estate.

Trent, who operates Trent Luxury in Los Angeles, left Compass to join the brokerage of Aaron Kirman, who also left Compass last year to partner with Christie's.

"Morgan is one of the real estate agents in the country who has a database of the who's who. Representing athletes, celebrities, and CEOs alike, his database is second to none and we are thrilled to have him as one of our partners here at AKG," said Kirman, CEO of AKG | Christie's International Real Estate.

Born and raised in Southern California, Trent played football for the University of Michigan as well as the Cincinnati Bengals before pursuing his passion for real estate. He serves a diverse range of clients including executives, professional athletes and entertainers.

Drew and Susan Gitlin land at Coldwell Banker

Susan and Drew Gitlin, Coldwell Banker Realty.

Coldwell Banker Realty has welcomed top-producing agents Drew and Susan Gitlin as affiliate agents to its Brentwood office in Southern California.

With over 40 years of combined real estate experience, they helped broker the highest-priced single-family residence sale in the U.S. — Chartwell, in Bel Air — for $150 million at the end of 2019, according to a news release from Coldwell Banker.

"Drew and Susan are a highly respected dynamic duo who has firmly established themselves as a premier real estate team," said Jamie Duran, president of Coldwell Banker Realty Southern California. "Their pedigree, coupled with our renowned global luxury brand, creates a partnership that will further strengthen their powerful place in the industry and elevate the standard of excellence for their clients and the markets we serve."

From 2017 to 2021, they were platinum-status agents, which ranked them among the top-performing real estate agents nationwide for their prior brokerage.

"We are incredibly proud to announce our affiliation with Coldwell Banker Realty. When we decided to make a change and began interviewing companies, we knew immediately that their renowned global luxury brand stood out above all the rest," said the Gitlins in a joint statement.
