Editor's note: Here we highlight top agent teams that have joined new brokerages as they look to grow their business.

eXp gains a trio of teams in Tampa

In the course of a week, three Tampa-area teams have made their way to eXp, thanks to the recruiting efforts of Orlando mega-team leader Veronica Figueroa. eXp has dubbed the movement "Tampa Unites."

Figueroa said in an eXp blog post that "eXp is the real deal and people are taking notice of our strong leadership, culture, technology and financial opportunities," adding that "this Tampa movement is looking for the same thing — to build a business, collaborate and approach it with a forward-thinking mindset.

Kendall Bonner, eXp.

Kendall Bonner, a broker/owner with RE/MAX for almost nine years, recently merged her team with another RE/MAX affiliate, then quickly decided to forgo running a brokerage and instead brought The Kendall Bonner Team to eXp. In addition to leading her team, Bonner has worked as a lawyer and is a real estate content creator, author and speaker.

The Tampa Bay Home Team, led by Joseph and Christina Kipping, brings 18 agents to eXp. The team closed $86 million in sales in 2022.

Joe and Christina Kipping, eXp.

"eXp Realty has always been on our radar as so many great agents and teams have made the move," said Kipping.

As part of their transition to eXp, Kipping's team will merge with The Tampa Bay Team, led by co-partners Elizabeth Colón, Yae Colon, Justin Johnson and Michael Gutierrez. In addition to the partners, the Tampa Bay Team has 15 agents.

The move represents a return to eXp for The Tampa Bay Team, who had joined up with LPT Realty for less than a year. The team's 2022 sales volume was $110 million.

"We are so excited to be back home with eXp Realty," said Elizabeth Colón. "We believe partnership is the greatest variable to grow and excel and our agents believe in our vision."

The Jason Martin Group joins Real

Jason Martin, a 20-year real estate veteran, has brought his team to The Real Brokerage.

Jason Martin and John Coleman, The Real Brokerage.

Martin spent 13 years at Keller Williams before moving to @properties in 2018, and in 2022, his team closed more than 200 transactions, bringing in $137 million in sales volume.

The Jason Martin Group is led by Jason Martin and John Coleman; Coleman joined the team as a showing assistant in 2015 and rose up to become managing partner. Both team leaders have been recognized as top producers in the Washington, D.C. region.

"Real is on a path to drive change in the real estate industry. They have created a model that recognizes that agents are the linchpin of the entire real estate transaction. It's exciting for our team to be a part of a company that puts the agent at the top — not only for the way it recognizes and rewards agents for their success, but also by nurturing a collaborative culture that fuels professional growth and development," said Martin in a news release.

Ken Pozek Group back at Keller Williams

As one team joins Real, another leaves. Based in Orlando, the Ken Pozek Group is returning to KW after moving to Real in 2022.

Ken Pozek, Keller Williams.

Led by Ken Pozek, who began his real estate career in 2003 as an appraiser and investor, the team has been a production powerhouse. The Ken Pozek Group, which consists of 21 real estate agents, 6 real estate staff members and 4 marketing staff members, sold nearly 400 units worth $197 million in 2022.

Speaking of his decision to come back to KW, Pozek said, "It's the community, it's the culture and it's who I am."

The team credits its marketing efforts for its performance over the past few years, and Pozek said they've "doubled down on the marketing that's working" as the market has shifted.

One thing that's working is YouTube, a marketing channel they've embraced since 2018. "In the past five years, we've got millions of views and we get hundreds of leads every single month from YouTube," said Pozek.

With Pozek back at Keller Williams, the company is considering training opportunities that would allow him to share his social media lead generation best practices with other KW agents.

Brian Pistorius Group joins Compass

Brian Pistorius, a fifth-generation Chicago real estate agent, has brought his top-producing Brian Pistorius Group to Compass.

Brian Pistorius, Compass.

Pistorius, who began his real estate career in 2004, was most recently a broker at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago. His small team, which includes agents Amy Ruch and Jenna Cody, achieved more than $50 million in sales volume over the past two years.

"With family roots in real estate dating back to the 1800s, I couldn't be more excited to carry on that legacy at the leading luxury brokerage in Chicago," said Pistorius in a news release. "The Compass platform offers the cutting-edge tools needed to scale my business and is backed by the unique advantage of the Compass client referrals network."

"We're thrilled to welcome The Brian Pistorius Group to Compass Chicago," said Fran Broude, Regional Vice President with Compass. "Brian brings a strong tradition of exceptional area expertise and is a great example of an industry veteran turning to the Compass platform to scale their business."
