People on the Move: Keller Williams makes C-suite appointments
Tim Dieffenbacher joins KW as its new CFO, while Stacie Herron is named COO — a role she will hold in addition to her current position as chief legal officer.
Editor's note: As an industry with millions of agents and over 100,000 brokerage companies, new leaders rise to the top every day. Here we highlight executives and other notable leaders who've recently taken on, or stepped away from, roles that influence the residential real estate landscape.
Keller Williams is welcoming a new chief financial officer into the fold with the appointment of Tim Dieffenbacher, a former colleague of the company's new CEO and expanding the role of another top leader.
Dieffenbacher joins the franchisor with a background in accounting, capital markets, corporate finance, governance and operations. He was previously the CFO at a Dallas-based real estate investment trust, and also held three major titles — senior vice president, chief accounting officer and treasurer — at Broadstone Net Lease (BNL) and Broadstone Real Estate (BRE), according to a KW news release.
Dieffenbacher's appointment comes just two months after Chris Czarnecki became KW's new president and CEO, roles Czarnecki assumed after former president and CEO Mark Willis shifted into a new leadership position at the company. Czarnecki, who previously worked with Dieffenbacher at BNL and BRE, lauded Dieffenbacher's "proven financial leadership" and "strong track record of collaboration" in comments welcoming him to the company.
Dieffenbacher said he felt drawn to KW because of "the people, the culture, and the opportunity to work with Chris again."
"I've always been motivated by the chance to work with good people, solve challenging problems, and build something meaningful — and that's exactly what I see at Keller Williams," he added.
Meanwhile, Stacie Herron's position at KW has expanded after four years with the company. Herron first joined KW in the spring of 2021 as its chief legal officer — a role she continues to hold — and has also served as KW's chief legal and people officer, and its chief administrative officer. She became KW's interim COO in January.
In addition to her ongoing responsibilities as KW's CLO, Herron will also now lead KW's Growth, Franchise Systems, Legal, Risk Management, Human Resources and Workplace Experience teams as the company's new chief operating officer.
During her time at KW thus far, Herron has "already delivered meaningful impact as our chief legal officer and interim COO, and her official appointment as COO reflects our confidence in her continued leadership," Czarnecki said.
Both Dieffenbacher and Herron "embody the leadership that will drive our next chapter of growth, as we continue to enable KW-affiliated agents and market center leaders to thrive," Czarnecki added.
