Editor's note: Technology is a driving force in real estate. From startups to established players, tech companies are constantly innovating, growing and forging partnerships. Here we highlight some of the latest news about the companies that help power the industry.

Virtuo, an AI-powered concierge developed in Canada, is officially launching operations in the United States — an expansion built on successes achieved on both sides of the border.

The company said in a statement that it has already helped more than 30,000 Canadian homebuyers, as well as some American consumers in four states served by Canada-based builders operating in the U.S.

Virtuo offers a generative AI assistant called HomieAI as well as human support to help guide homebuyers from purchase to their post-move life. Their platform handles everything from move logistics to utility setups and ongoing maintenance, and can help homebuilders differentiate themselves by offering the additional support.

"Texas was a natural first choice for our U.S. launch," said Virtuo Co-founder and CEO Casey Kachur. "From energy roots to entrepreneurial grit, the parallels between Alberta and Texas are striking. We've already had the privilege of working alongside Shane Homes in Canada, helping to enhance the homebuying journey for their customers, and we're thrilled to continue that partnership as they enter the Dallas market."

Virtuo will also operate in Austin and Houston.
