Editor's note: As an industry with millions of agents and over 100,000 brokerage companies, new leaders rise to the top every day. Here we highlight executives and other notable leaders who've recently taken on, or stepped away from, roles that influence the residential real estate landscape.

30-year industry pro to lead Motto Mortgage, wemlo

RE/MAX Holdings has tapped longtime industry executive Vic Lombardo to be the new leader of its mortgage services division. Lombardo, who brings over three decades of real estate and mortgage experience, will oversee Motto Mortgage and wemlo as the company's new president of mortgage services.

Vic Lombardo, President of Mortgage Services, RE/MAX Holdings, Inc.

Lombardo's appointment comes two months after the exit of Ward Morrison, who served as president and CEO of Motto Mortgage and wemlo for several years. In Lombardo, RE/MAX Holdings found a candidate whose "background, skills and customer-first mindset will benefit our mortgage operations," CEO Erik Carlson said in a press release.

"He's focused on finding innovative ways to increase opportunities for Motto Mortgage brokerage owners and loan originators, which in turn will help strengthen offices and build market share," Carlson said. "He also has excellent ideas on maximizing the potential of wemlo, our innovative loan processing brand."

Lombardo worked for over 25 years at Guaranteed Rate Affinity and its predecessor, PHH Mortgage, where he climbed the ladder before ultimately overseeing daily operations as Guaranteed Rate Affinity's chief operating officer. Prior to his focus on mortgage services, Lombardo worked as a broker/owner at an independent brokerage.

In his new role, Lombardo will oversee growth efforts at Motto Mortgage and wemlo as the newest member of RE/MAX Holding's Executive Leadership Team.

"I've admired Motto since its launch in 2016 and I'm excited to help scale its growth alongside wemlo," Lombardo said. "Together, we can deliver more innovative solutions and exceptional experiences for brokers, loan originators and their customers."

Oklahoma association appoints new CEO

Grant Cody, Chief Executive Officer, Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors and MLS Technology, Inc.

The Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors (GTAR) and the Tulsa-based MLS Technology, Inc., have named Grant Cody to serve as their new CEO. Cody, who has experience in real estate and public service, will assume his new role starting on Sept. 22.

Cody has been a licensed attorney for the past decade and previously worked as an assistant attorney general in Oklahoma. He currently invests in commercial and residential real estate in Oklahoma City, and most recently served as the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission's (OREC) executive director. While at OREC, he oversaw a leap in cash reserves, helped digitize the organization and significantly reduced service wait times, according to a press release.

"Grant's depth of legal knowledge, forward-thinking approach, and strong connection to our industry will be invaluable to our organizations," said Josh Woodward, president of GTAR's board of directors. "We're excited for the perspective and drive he will bring to this position."
