Editor's note: The brokerage business is a busy one, with frequent moves, mergers and milestones. Here we highlight some of the latest activity among brokerages across the U.S.

eXp adds New Mexico team, Texas indie

eXp has added dozens of agents to its roster with the addition of K2 Omni Group in New Mexico and Amy Tapp Realty in Texas.

Kristina Salcido and Kiki Salcido, K2 Omni Group | eXp

New Mexico: K2 Omni Group was founded by husband-and-wife duo Kiki and Kristina Salcido in partnership with Nathan Armstrong and Berenice Holden. The firm initially launched in 2019 as Simply Real Estate before rebranding last year.

K2 Omni Group has quickly doubled in size, going from 22 agents who closed over $105 million in sales last year to 56. eXp CEO Leo Pareja commended the group's "remarkable growth and innovation," saying in a press release that their "ability to deliver high production while building a culture of collaboration and community makes them an ideal fit" for eXp.

In addition to in-state operations in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Las Cruces, K2 Omni Group has a presence in the Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Phoenix and Tampa/Orlando markets. The team intends to expand further and sees its partnership with eXp as "a multiplier," Kristina Salcido said.

"The systems, comp structure, and national reach weren't just impressive — they were scalable," she said, adding that her team "realized eXp was the missing piece to make K2 Omni Group go National, and one day, International."

Amy Tapp, Amy Tapp Realty | eXp

Texas: In Lubbock, Texas, Amy Tapp is bringing her 45-person team to eXp. Tapp, whose more than 20 years of experience includes past roles at Keller Williams and RE/MAX, launched Amy Tapp Realty in 2012.

Though her independent brokerage closed $80 million in sales last year, Tapp "felt the tug for something more" and found in eXp an opportunity to access a global network while shrugging off the day-to-day responsibilities of brokerage operations.

"I instantly felt like this was a divine appointment," Tapp said of her experience meeting with eXp leadership. "eXp offers the resources and culture I was looking for so I can focus on leading my people and serving my clients."

$3.5B broker rejoins Corcoran

Noble Black & Partners has returned to the Corcoran Group in New York City after spending the last decade at Douglas Elliman. The team is led by Noble Black, an attorney and broker with "a client-first philosophy" who has closed over $3.5 billion in lifetime sales, according to a press release. His team collectively represents about $500 million in luxury New York real estate.

Ten of Black's team members — including Justin Figari, Jennifer Stillman, Cory Cahlon and Matthew Mackay — will be joining him in the move back to Corcoran. They will be based out of the brokerage's East Side and Southampton offices.

Black said he is "thrilled" to rejoin Corcoran, "whose client-centric values, market leadership, global affiliate network, and marketing resources align with the trajectory of our practice." He also expressed gratitude for his time at Elliman, crediting the brokerage's leadership and management with providing "pivotal support" to his team.

Black "has built an extraordinary business grounded in integrity, insight, and a profound understanding of the market," Corcoran President and CEO Pamela Liebman said. "With the strength of the Corcoran brand behind him, I have no doubt he will continue to raise the bar in both New York City and the East End."

Colorado indie joins Compass

Colorado Home Realty (CHR), an independent brokerage co-founded in 2005 by CEO Matt Hudson, is taking up the Compass banner. The move comes two months after Compass' earlier expansion in the Denver area with its acquisition of PorchLight Real Estate Group.

The Littleton-based CHR, which closed $617.2 in sales in 2024, has "built a remarkable business focused on delivering personalized, high-quality service," Compass Regional VP for Colorado Heather Bustos said in a press release. "We are excited to complement what they have done with more resources, support and the scale of a national brand, while continuing to serve the community with the same local expertise their clients value."

Hudson described joining Compass as "an exciting opportunity" for his agents to get "the very best tools for now and the future." The move will give his team access to Compass exclusives, as well as the brokerage's tech platform and referral network.

"We've always focused on empowering our team with whatever they need to provide exceptional client experiences," Hudson said, adding that Compass' tech and networks will help his agents "do even more for both their clients and their businesses."

MTV host joins CB Warburg: Nēv Schulman is bringing his media savvy to Manhattan's Coldwell Banker Warburg — the firm his father has worked at for decades. Schulman is known for hosting MTV's "Catfish" and appearing on "Dancing With the Stars," where he took second place. Now, he'll use his social media and production experience to grow his real estate career "as he channels his vision into helping clients find their place in New York," CBW's regional VP Kevelyn Guzman said in a news release. "After watching my father dedicate more than 50 years to this business, it feels meaningful to follow in his footsteps and join Coldwell Banker Warburg," Schulman said.

Billion-dollar agent returns to Elliman: AnneMarie Alexander, a new development specialist covering the New York and Florida markets, has moved her business back to Douglas Elliman, the firm where she started her real estate career more than two decades ago. Most recently at Corcoran, Alexander is a new development leader with over $1 billion in personal sales spanning luxury, resales and bulk condo inventory, according to a news release. Her decision to rejoin Elliman was driven by her long-standing relationships at the firm and its "dominance" in the new development space, the release noted. She will work out of Elliman's Miami office.

Indiana native makes the move to Coldwell Banker: Veteran agent Paula Kiger has joined Coldwell Banker McMahan, a 14-office firm serving Southern Indiana and Kentucky, after a lengthy career with RE/MAX, according to a news release. Her "long-standing reputation for integrity, dedication, and results make her an exceptional fit for Coldwell Banker McMahan," said Matt Weaver, president of CB McMahan. Kiger will work out of the brokerage's office in New Albany, Indiana.

The Agency expands in Massachusetts: The global luxury firm has launched its third Massachusetts office on the iconic island of Martha's Vineyard, the company announced this week. The Agency Martha's Vineyard will be led by Managing Partners Paul and Grant Pertile alongside Managing Director Valene Pires. James Ramsay, The Agency's franchise EVP, described the leadership team as "among the most accomplished and respected real estate agents in the area," noting that "their expertise and leadership will be instrumental as we expand our presence on Martha's Vineyard, a destination that continues to captivate a discerning global clientele."
