Editor's note: The brokerage business is a busy one, with frequent moves, mergers and milestones. Here we highlight some of the latest activity among brokerages across the U.S.
Real snaps up 250+ agents
The Landmark Group, a brokerage with over 250 agents that operates in the Washington, D.C., metro area, is joining Real.
Launched by founder Bernadette Cole 17 years ago, the family-led brokerage also features Cole's husband, Alex, and daughter, Gina, in top roles alongside Randy Barrows and Isabel Barrows. With over 30 years of military service among members of its leadership team, the firm will be part of Real's Military Division.
The Landmark Group was formerly aligned with EXIT Realty, where they were recognized as the brokerage's top producers in the Mid-Atlantic region, according to a press release. As Cole considered the future of her business, she said Real "stood out" because it "puts agents first."
"My team now benefits from revenue share, better commission splits and a higher earnings ceiling," she said. "Even more importantly, Real shares our culture of making lives better, creating a legacy and giving back."
The firm's community ties and commitment to giving back make them "a perfect fit for Real," Chairman and CEO Tamir Poleg said. "Landmark's community-first culture and track record of excellence are a strong addition to our growing presence in the DMV region," he added.
Coldwell Banker adds 60 agents with NJ M&A
Coldwell Banker Realty is now the top brokerage in Hudson County following its acquisition of Prime Real Estate Group in Hoboken, according to a press release.
Principal Broker Jesse Halliburton and Managing Broker Marco Tartaglia — who together bring 50 years of real estate experience — will continue leading the 60-agent firm, which now operates under the Coldwell Banker banner. They will also keep their Hoboken office, bringing Coldwell Banker's local office tally to five.
Halliburton founded Prime Real Estate Group in 2001 and has transformed it into a company that pulls in $5 million in annual gross commission income. The firm serves clients in the Hoboken, Jersey City, Weehawken and greater Hudson County areas.
Halliburton said joining Coldwell Banker is "the right next step" in Prime Real Estate Group's evolution. "Their global brand, robust marketing and transaction tools, and collaborative company culture will be a tremendous asset to our agents and clients," he added.
The acquisition also "marks a new chapter" in Hudson County for Coldwell Banker Realty, according to Regional Vice President Jennifer Colamedici. "Together, we'll deliver even greater value to our clients and communities."
Century 21 affiliate gains homegrown agent and team
The Vince Boyle Team has joined Century 21 Ryon Real Estate in Pennsylvania's coal country, the brokerage announced this week.
Formerly with RE/MAX, Vince Boyle has achieved more than $100 million in sales volume during his seven-year career. Among other accolades, he was recognized as the No. 3 agent in closed transactions for RE/MAX Pennsylvania in both 2021 and 2022, according to a news release.
Boyle called the move "an incredible opportunity for my team and me" as they look to grow "while providing the highest level of service to the clients and communities we care about."
"Being born and raised in Tamaqua, I'm especially excited to be part of the exponential growth of my hometown," he added. The team will serve the Tamaqua area as well as Pennsylvania's Anthracite Coal Region and Greater Lehigh Valley.

KW launches in Hungary: Keller Williams Worldwide will soon open its first market center in Hungary, led by Regional Operating Principal Akos Megyeri. The office represents KW's 19th master franchise in Europe. A military officer-turned agent, Megyeri began his real estate career more than eight years ago and rose through the ranks to become a team leader and later a brokerage leader. KW's culture was a key factor in choosing the firm, Megyeri said. "When you have the right values, the right tools, and the right timing, you transform an entire industry," he added.
Corcoran welcomes The Sherry Tobak Group: Luxury agent and industry veteran Sherry Tobak has moved from Related Companies to Corcoran's East Side office. While at Related, Tobak served as VP of sales, and her team achieved more than $2 billion in sales volume representing clients at New York's Hudson Yards development. She is joined by another former Related VP, Mary Ann Osborn. Tobak said in a news release that her prior collaborations with Corcoran influenced her decision: "I knew they offered the most compelling opportunity — not just because of their unmatched market expertise, but because our visions of the business are so closely aligned."
Brown Harris Stevens gains two top agents: Lisa Tarnopol Deslauriers and Linda Reiner are the latest additions at BHS's flagship office in Manhattan. The duo, who have partnered for more than 30 years, were most recently at BHHS New York Properties and bring a well-established business built almost entirely on referrals, according to a news release. The pair chose BHS for its "reputation for discretion and excellence," Reiner said, as well as its "familial feel and enormous resources and support," Deslauriers noted. "Brown Harris Stevens combines the intimacy of a boutique with the reach of a major brokerage, which is exactly what our clients expect and deserve," Deslauriers added.
