Texas’ 2 largest MLSs activate data share
Dallas-based NTREIS and Houston-based HAR.com have launched a partnership that gives broad listings exposure to their 100,000+ combined subscribers.
Editor's note: From regional and statewide players to locals focused on a single market, multiple listings services and Realtor associations are the backbone of residential real estate. Here we highlight some of the latest news about the organizations that are shaping the future of the industry.
HAR.com data shares now cover 80% of Texas
The Houston Realtors Information Service (HAR.com), announced today that its data sharing agreement with North Texas Real Estate Information Systems (NTREIS) is now active.
HAR.com's deal with Texas' largest MLS follows other significant partnerships unveiled last year. In October 2024, the Houston-based MLS inked similar agreements with Unlock MLS in Austin and the San Antonio Board of Realtors (SABOR) MLS — recently rebranded as LERA MLS — bringing together the second, third and fourth-largest MLSs in the state.
Combined, HAR.com, Unlock and LERA accounted for about 60% of the state's listings; the addition of NTREIS brings that coverage to more than 80%.
"HAR.com is now the only MLS in Texas that is partnered with three other MLSs, which provides our MLS subscribers with unmatched statewide coverage and opportunity," said HAR.com Chairman Mario Arraiga. "These data shares reflect HAR.com's commitment to giving our subscribers a statewide reach and the resources they need to stay competitive and deliver exceptional service to their clients."
NTREIS, which welcomed a new CEO in June, has also been forming new partnerships. Earlier this year, the 53,000-member MLS gained a shareholder — Waco Association of Realtors — the MLS's 16th Realtor association owner.
Stellar MLS lives up to its name
Florida's largest multiple listing service has been recognized by the Orlando Sentinel Media Group as a Central Florida Top Workplace, the Altamonte Springs-based organization announced today. This is the fourth straight year Stellar has received the regional award.
The "top workplace" ranking is derived from employee surveys and focused on company culture — something the organization considers fundamental to its success.
"This recognition reflects Stellar's unwavering commitment to fostering a workplace culture where employees feel valued, supported and empowered to thrive," Stellar MLS CEO Merri Jo Cowen said in a news release.
"Built on a foundation of service, to our team, our customers, our shareholders and the communities they represent, our culture is the cornerstone of our success and continues to guide every aspect of our mission and strategy."
