Industry execs join forces to launch real estate consultancy
Russ Cofano, a former proptech CEO and eXp president/general counsel, has teamed up with real estate marketing leader Amit Kulkarni to form Alloy Advisors.
Two real estate veterans have revealed their latest business venture: A consultancy that aims to help a wide range of real estate businesses "modernize, grow and lead in an era of industry disruption," according to a news release.
Russ Cofano and Amit Kulkarni, industry pros with a combined skillset spanning technology, MLS and association leadership, marketing, brokerage and law, have announced the launch of Alloy Advisors. The consulting firm will serve brokerages, real estate organizations, proptech companies and portals, the announcement said.
Alloy will offer guidance on organizational development, brand building, market share growth, product launches, brokerage strategy and regulatory/legal issues, among other areas.
The founders: Cofano was most recently CEO of Collabra, a marketing technology company acquired by Adx in April. Other roles during his three decades in the industry included president and general counsel of eXp World Holdings, CEO of Missouri Realtors and SVP of industry relations at Move, Inc.
Kulkarni is a marketing executive who led Nestfully, an MLS-owned consumer home search site, and previously served as chief marketing officer at Bright MLS and VP of brand and creative at Realtor.com.
No 'recycled playbooks': The duo formed Alloy Advisors to help real estate leaders navigate the disruptions of recent years — lawsuits, brokerage and MLS consolidation, an explosion of new tech and changing consumer expectations — by providing "discipline and real-world solutions."
"Alloy Advisors is about bringing clarity when the stakes are high," Cofano said in the announcement. "We've sat in the rooms where high-stakes decisions are made, and we've made them ourselves. We know what works, what doesn't, and how to help organizations move forward with confidence."
"Real estate leaders don't need recycled playbooks," Kulkarni added. "They need trusted, experienced advisors who understand today's pressures and deliver strategies that actually work. That's why we built Alloy."
