Prominent DC luxury firm announces new leadership team
TTR Sotheby's International Realty, a luxury-focused firm with 13 locations and nearly 600 agents across the Washington, D.C., area, has appointed three new leaders to help the company reach its growth and operational goals.
Effective immediately, Mark Lowham is serving as TTR Sotheby's chairman, David DeSantis is the new CEO and Derrick Swaak is the president and COO.
Lowham, who previously served as CEO and managing partner, will focus on the company's long-term goals by engaging with the board and exploring potential growth partners; DeSantis will spearhead growth initiatives while leading the firm's ongoing strategic direction; and Swaak, in his dual roles, will provide operational oversight and explore opportunities for the brokerage to scale up.
In a news release, TTR Sotheby's Founder Jonathan Taylor described the new leadership changes as "strategic," adding that they "reinforce the strength and longevity of the Sotheby's network when combined with high-performing local ownership."
Lowham, DeSantis and Swaak "are exactly the kind of leadership team we need as the firm advances its leadership in the luxury real-estate sector," Taylor said.
Finance pro joins Inside Real Estate's mortgage team
About a year after becoming the chief revenue officer at Rayse, Ashley Terrell-Kayiran is shifting into an advisory role at the company and has accepted a new position as the SVP of growth for Inside Real Estate's mortgage division.
Before joining Rayse, Terrell-Kayiran held CRO positions at data analytics company Percy as well as Homeowner.ai, a homeownership management portal. At Rayse, she helped guide the company as it expanded to become an MLS member benefit for over 300,000 agents across the U.S. — an accomplishment that she expressed pride in on social media.
"I look forward to continuing to support the team as an Advisor and continued owner in the business," she said on LinkedIn.
In her new role at Inside Real Estate, Terrell-Kayiran will have an opportunity to "combine my passion for both real estate and mortgage," she wrote. The "timing feels right" for the move, she noted, adding that she is "excited to join and help shape this next chapter of growth!"
