FMLS taps longtime brokerage leader to spearhead growth
Jenni Bonura joins the Georgia-based MLS after 20+ years with Harry Norman, Realtors. Plus, Realtor.com adds Joe Schneider as VP and head of industry relations.
Editor's note: As an industry with millions of agents and over 100,000 brokerage companies, new leaders rise to the top every day. Here we highlight executives and other notable leaders who've recently taken on, or stepped away from, roles that influence the residential real estate landscape.
Brokerage exec to help FMLS 'continue building for the future'
First Multiple Listing Service (FMLS) has appointed Jenni Bonura as its first chief growth officer, adding a longtime brokerage executive to the MLS's leadership team as it continues to expand its services for brokers and agents.
Bonura joins FMLS after more than 20 years with Harry Norman, Realtors, where she held several leadership roles before serving as president and CEO. Harry Norman was one of eight brokerage leaders who co-founded the Georgia-based MLS in 1957, FMLS noted in a news release, giving Bonura's appointment a historical connection to the organization.
FMLS President and CEO Jeremy Crawford praised Bonura's "leadership experience, industry insight, and dedication to serving real estate professionals," all of which "align perfectly" with the MLS's future. "As our organization continues to grow, her expertise will help guide new opportunities, strengthen relationships, and ensure we continue providing meaningful value to the brokers and agents we serve," Crawford said.
In her new role, Bonura will help guide growth initiatives, strengthen industry relationships and support the delivery of products, services and data solutions for subscribers.
"I am honored to join FMLS and contribute to an organization with such a strong legacy of innovation and service," Bonura said. "FMLS has long been a trusted partner to the real estate community, and I look forward to working alongside its talented team to support brokers, agents, and industry partners as we continue building for the future."
Industry relations exec joins Realtor.com
Joe Schneider, an industry leader whose career in real estate began nearly two decades ago, has joined Realtor.com as vice president and head of industry relations. Schneider announced his new role this week in a post on LinkedIn.
Schneider's appointment "reflects our continued investment in strong, collaborative relationships with MLSs and Realtor associations nationwide," said Anna Marie Castiglioni, the head of Realtor.com Next. "His deep, firsthand understanding of how they operate makes him uniquely suited to lead at this pivotal moment in the industry. Building on that experience, Joe will partner with MLSs and the Realtor.com Next team to advocate for an open marketplace and help shape the future of Realtor.com+."
Schneider most recently served as president of SourceRE, an MLS data infrastructure provider. He previously held leadership roles at the North Bay Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and at Compass, where he oversaw the brokerage's industry relations strategy.
"I believe the future of real estate is one built on transparency, trusted data, and collaboration across the industry. I'm excited to join a team that is committed to helping consumers make more informed decisions while working alongside MLSs, Realtor associations, and industry partners to strengthen the real estate ecosystem," Schneider said in his LinkedIn post.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with so many talented professionals and look forward to learning, collaborating, and contributing in this new chapter," he added.
