After becoming a giant in the U.S. residential real estate market, Compass is now setting its sights farther afield.

On Monday, the brokerage announced the launch of Compass Global Division, an internal network that will provide a bridge for the brokerage's U.S.-based customers to transact internationally.

A core group of U.S.-based Compass agents: The division's core members will be part of an elite "Tier 1." These members will be stateside-based Compass agents who are also independently licensed to transact in a foreign market, a press release said.

The division's founding members and executive leadership team will include:

  • John Eric, global head of division (United Kingdom)

  • Kelly Robinson, global head of business development (United Arab Emirates)

  • Harmony Hoefner, global head of marketing (Costa Rica and Latin America)

  • Megan Probst, global head of systems and tracking (Dominican Republic)

Compass' 'next chapter': The fragmented market abroad paired with the complications of residency-by-investment options and other factors often create "a wall" for U.S. citizens seeking to buy property outside the country, Eric said in a statement.

"The Compass Global Division exists to remove that wall," Eric said. "This is the next chapter of how Compass shows up for its clients, wherever in the world they call home."

The same tools amplified to work abroad: In addition to receiving the service standards upheld by Compass, the brokerage said global clients can expect agents to use the same brokerage tools and resources they already depend on in the U.S.

The division will connect clients to a network of independent, local real estate professionals wherever they aspire to transact abroad. It will also provide resources in other relevant professions, such as legal and tax advisors, who can provide support before, during and after a transaction, the firm said.

A big step forward for growth: Compass President Neda Navab said the division's launch marks "a significant step forward" in growing the firm's reach internationally while providing agents with needed resources to build their businesses.

The company noted that the division was an initiative of Compass agents who had already built international businesses and saw an opportunity to bring those connections to other agents and their clients.

"By organizing our top international talent into structured tiers, we are creating a clear roadmap for professional growth and ensuring that our global clients receive unmatched advisory services anywhere in the world," Navab said in a statement.

Several of Compass International Holdings' recently acquired brands feature international networks, but this marks the first time the Compass brokerage will be expanding internationally. Compass' announcement comes a little over a year after fellow New York City-headquartered brokerage Douglas Elliman went global with its June 2025 launch of Elliman International.
