Editor's note: The brokerage business is a busy one, with frequent moves, mergers and milestones. Here we highlight some of the latest activity among brokerages across the U.S.

Compass snaps up 85+ agents in Texas

Paragon Realtors has joined Compass in North Texas, bringing more than 85 agents to the mega brokerage and expanding the firm's presence across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Mike Miller, Broker/Owner, Paragon Realtors | Compass

Paragon Owner Mike Miller framed the move as "a natural evolution" for his team, one that is intended to give his team additional resources at a time when the real estate industry is changing. Joining Compass provides Paragon agents — who have closed more than $260 million in sales over the past 12 months, according to a news release — with access to the brokerage's technology platform, referral network, marketing resources and operational support.

"Our priority has always been to empower our agents with every possible tool to succeed and deliver exceptional service to their clients," Miller said. "Compass's end-to-end tech platform and collaborative culture give our agents the competitive edge they need to thrive both now and well into the future. I am confident this is the best environment for setting our agents up for long-term success."

Paragon's senior management will remain in place following the transition, Compass said.

Family team joins LPT in Ontario

The Terri Hastings Real Estate Group has joined LPT Realty, expanding the brokerage's presence in Ontario's Grey and Bruce counties with a multigenerational team focused on residential and waterfront properties.

Founded by 20-year real estate veteran Terri Hastings, the group's ownership was transferred to Hastings' daughter, Jessica Hastings-Lesperance, and son-in-law, Adam Lesperance, in 2023. Hastings, who has remained active with the team, also developed Worldclass Waterfront, a specialized brand serving the area's waterfront property market.

Hastings-Lesperance oversees the team's operations, marketing, technology and business strategy. Lesperance leads sales and agent performance while continuing to serve clients, with 70 transactions closed personally in 2025, according to the release.

At LPT, Hastings-Lesperance said her team found "new rooms, new technology and people challenging what is possible in real estate," adding that the move was "about growth" for their clients, agents and local communities.

"LPT gives us another opportunity to help our people think bigger about what their real estate careers can create for their families," Lesperance said.

KW firm adds $100M indie

Templeton Real Estate Group has joined Keller Williams Realty Boise in Idaho after operating for 13 years as an independent brokerage. The move brings a $100 million firm to the Boise-area firm, which will in turn provide Templeton agents with the technology and networks they need to drive their business forward.

Led by Dawn Templeton, the team serves buyers and sellers throughout Idaho's Treasure Valley. With 26 years of real estate experience, Templeton built the independent brokerage around hands-on service, marketing and repeat client relationships, according to a news release.

"We built a very successful independent boutique brokerage, and I'm incredibly proud of what we created," Templeton said. "But we reached a point where we knew we could give our agents more, and ultimately that means being able to do even more for our clients."

The move "wasn't about what Dawn needed," observed KW Realty Boise Co-owner and CEO Stacie States, but about "what she could create next for her agents and her clients."

"She's bringing the relationships, reputation, and service that built Templeton Real Estate Group, and we have the opportunity to help them build on it," States added.

C21 brings 50-agent firm into the fold in the Garden State

Teaneck, New Jersey-based brokerage Public Trust Realty Group has affiliated with Century 21, adding more than 50 agents to the brand's presence in the New York City metropolitan area. Moving forward, the firm will operate as Century 21 Prime Homes, according to a news release.

Arun Thomas, Broker/Owner | CENTURY 21 Prime Homes

The brokerage was founded in 2007 by Broker-owner Arun Thomas, who began his real estate career in 1994 with a Century 21 affiliate. His current brokerage serves residential, luxury, investment and commercial clients, along with consumers involved in short sales, foreclosures and relocation.

Thomas said he plans to use Century 21's technology, marketing, lead-generation, training and coaching resources to expand his firm's referral network and support continued growth across the state. "I believe this affiliation will create tremendous opportunities for our agents, provide even greater value to our clients, and position Century 21 Prime Homes for strong long-term growth," he said.

The markets that the firm served as Public Trust are "home to some of the most valuable properties in the country," Century 21 President and CEO Mike Miedler noted, adding that it is "incredibly important" to the brand to "continue to expand our presence in such a valuable market."

Thomas "has proven himself to not only understand the business, but also the people and communities he serves," Miedler said. "We're excited to help provide him and his agents with the tools they need to continue growing their presence right here in the backyard of the Century 21 Real Estate headquarters."

More brokerage news

United Real Estate reached a milestone in September, announcing that its flat-fee model has allowed it to pay agents $1 billion more than what they would have earned at a brokerage offering a typical commission split. After deducting fees, United agents take home 96% of the commission from each transaction, according to a news release. The brokerage isn't offering agents "a hollow promise of downstream riches," United Real Estate Group CEO Dan Duffy said. "This is real money, earned through hard work and paid directly to agents at closing — strengthening families, accelerating long-term wealth creation and supporting retirement security. There is not a more direct, efficient or equitable way to invest in agents and communities than paying agents more of what they earn," Duffy added.

Engel & Völkers Lake Placid has strengthened its roster with the addition of Austin Moyer and the Pinnacle Team, a four-person real estate team serving clients in Rochester, New York, and the surrounding areas. Previously with Coldwell Banker, Moyer said the team "wanted to align ourselves with a brand that reflected where we see our business going," noting that E&V "gives us an exceptional luxury platform and a network extending well beyond our local market, while allowing us to remain focused on the relationships and personal service our clients expect from us." The move also brings new networking opportunities to the Lake Placid office, connecting clients and referrals between Rochester, the Finger Lakes and the Adirondacks, according to a news release.

Christie's International Real Estate Southern California has added an office with the opening of a new Pasadena branch, the brokerage announced this week. Joining 10 CIRE sales professionals to launch the office are five agents moving to the brand from other firms: Shannon Scavo, previously with Maisonre; Amy Weber, who led a team at Compass; Carla Buigues, former director of The Agency's trust & estates division; and Tracie Heileson and Sheila Arat of the Heileson Team, who join from Douglas Elliman. "We've had a strong presence in Pasadena for years, so establishing an official home here was the natural next step," CIRE SoCal Founder and CEO Aaron Kirman said. "Now we've brought together the top brokers in this market under one roof, and it gives our clients a level of expertise and access in Pasadena that no one else can match."

Sotheby's International Realty has entered Panama with the conversion of Punta Pacifica Realty, a well-established firm that will now operate as Panama Sotheby's International Realty. The global brand already has a strong presence in the region, with 65 offices throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. The newly affiliated firm is led by CEO Duncan McGowan, Managing Partner Jeff Barton, VP Brian Kelly and Principal Broker Ana Patricia Hassan de McGowan — all longtime Panama residents and real estate leaders. "For nearly two decades, our team has been committed to serving clients through trusted relationships, local expertise, and exceptional service," McGowan said. "Joining the Sotheby's International Realty network allows us to pair our deep knowledge of Panama's luxury market with one of the world's most respected real estate brands, creating new opportunities for our clients both locally and internationally."

Landfall Real Estate Advisory, led by Cameron Kimball, has launched in Los Cabos, Mexico. Kimball is a three-decade luxury real estate salesperson who previously worked in sales and marketing for several hospitality brands and club communities in the region, according to a news release. Kimball founded Landfall as a buyer-side consultancy catering to the ultra-luxury market, and he aims to provide clients with access to off-market homes and his deep knowledge of the area's pricing models. After a career in hospitality and resort sales, "moving into buyer-side advocacy is simply a natural next phase," Kimball said. "My focus now is entirely on the families making these investments, using my insight to help them navigate this incredible market and secure their dream legacy property."
