Two new consumer financial programs announced at eXp Realty's annual conference this week aim to help buyer and seller transactions move forward.

Listing preparation: The brokerage launched eXp Ready, a pay-at-closing program for sellers that provides a loan of up to $50,000 to prepare a property for listing. The funds can be used for improvements and enhancements such as home staging, painting and landscaping, and the seller is free to select any vendor to complete the work.

The eXp Ready offering comes at a time when buyers have more leverage as inventory builds and homes sit on the market longer. With more options to choose from, potential buyers can also be more selective, and some surveys have found that move-in readiness is a top priority for home shoppers.

For sellers who don't have the cash to get their home in turnkey condition, the loan product can help them cover the preparation costs needed to bring in stronger offers, the company said. For eXp agents, the program gives them another way to show their value to seller clients — which CEO Leo Pareja believes will help his brokerage's agents win more listings.

"Every agent has stood at a listing appointment knowing the home could sell for more, if only the seller could more easily fund the work to get it there. eXp Ready erases that 'if,'" Pareja said in a news release.

The borrowed funds, along with a one-time fee and "interest at low fixed rates," are deducted from the seller's closing proceeds. If the home doesn't sell within 12 months, the homeowner can request an extension or set up a payment plan to give them more time to sell. If the seller takes the home off the market, the loan will need to be repaid, according to the company.

Mortgage partnership: eXp also announced the upcoming launch of Revenos Mortgage, a joint venture with top-five mortgage lender and servicer Newrez LLC. The mortgage offering is expected to roll out in early 2027 and aims to give agents more products and tools to support their clients, according to eXp, with the end goal of creating a more seamless experience through all phases of the homebuying transaction.

The company chose Newrez because it is one of the largest mortgage originators, supporting more than four million homeowners, an eXp spokesperson told Real Estate News. The brokerage's previous mortgage joint venture, SUCCESS Lending with Kind Lending, is winding down after both partners made a mutual, strategic decision to phase out the program.

"eXp has always bet on creating infrastructure that gives our agents an edge no other brokerage can match. Revenos Mortgage is the next piece of that vision," Pareja said.

Homebuyers are free to shop around for any lender and are never required to use Revenos, according to the eXp spokesperson. More details, including additional borrower benefits, will be announced closer to the Revenos launch next year.

Both of the new consumer lending programs were announced at eXpcon, which is taking place in Salt Lake City through Oct. 9.
