Editor's note: Technology is a driving force in real estate. From startups to established players, tech companies are constantly innovating, growing and forging partnerships. Here we highlight some of the latest news about the companies that help power the industry.

Zillow brings home search, affordability tools to Claude

Zillow has launched a new connector for Claude, a move that enables consumers to search for homes, review estimated property values and explore affordability within the Anthropic chatbot. The rollout comes just over a year after the home search giant launched an app within OpenAI's ChatGPT.

With this latest capability, users can connect Zillow through Claude's Customize menu and submit natural-language requests for homes for sale or rent using criteria such as location, price and property features. Results can include listing photos, prices, interactive maps, home value estimates and affordability tools, with links to Zillow for additional information, according to a news release.

The connector also supports next steps in the home search process, including requesting home tours, contacting real estate agents and exploring financing options. Zillow said its MLS-approved listing displays retain the broker and MLS attribution used on Zillow.com and that Zillow does not send listing data to Anthropic.

"This connector helps Claude users take the next step through Zillow: a tour, an agent, a loan officer," Zillow SVP of AI Josh Weisberg said. "The conversation doesn't stop with providing information, it leads to a way to make it happen."

NYC firm connects listings data to AI assistants

RealPlus has launched an AI connector of its own that links its real estate data and tools with Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants, allowing agents to search listings, manage client information and access market analytics through natural-language prompts.

Built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the new RealPlus AI Connector offers 69 tools across 12 product categories, along with a knowledge base and New York City listing and building data. Its market analytics include historical records dating to 2003, according to a news release.

Agents can use the system to generate reports, presentations, spreadsheets and market charts, with options to apply custom branding and share materials with clients, the company said. The connector operates through each agent's RealPlus login, with permissions designed to limit AI access to the same data and customer profiles available to that user in the listing system.

Following pilot testing, RealPlus plans to make the connector available to its full client base throughout October.

Co-buying platform revamps website

Pairgap today unveiled a new website that the company said unifies its message and makes the tools it provides easy for consumers to find and access.

Site users can now build a buyer profile, take Pairgap's Compatibility Test and see what they may be able to afford using the Co-Buyer Calculator. The site's unveiling comes just weeks before the company plans to launch its new Pairgap Community, which will be open to members only, according to a news release.

Co-buying a home "is one of the smartest ways to build wealth, and our new site makes it easy to get started," Pairgap Founder and CEO Nikki Merkerson said. Aspiring first-time homebuyers or investors can "find out what kind of partner you are, see what you can afford together, and build your profile" quickly through the new site, Merkerson added.

Of the upcoming Pairgap Community launch, Merkerson said members will be able to "walk in ready to meet other people who are just as serious about owning real estate as you are."
