Imagine MLS adds 800+ subscribers; Momentum MLS, Gitcha ink deal
The Bluegrass State’s growing MLS is partnering with two smaller organizations. Plus, Gitcha’s Buyer Listing Service is now part of the Momentum MLS platform.
Editor's note: From regional and statewide players to locals focused on a single market, multiple listings services and Realtor associations are the backbone of residential real estate. Here we highlight some of the latest news about the organizations that are shaping the future of the industry.
Imagine MLS expansion efforts bring in 800+ subscribers
Imagine MLS, the Kentucky-based multiple listing service operated by Bluegrass Realtors, is adding over 800 subscribers through partnerships with Western Kentucky Regional MLS (WKRMLS) and the Hopkinsville Christian & Todd County Association of Realtors (HCTCAOR).
An 'important investment': Imagine MLS is adding approximately 680 subscribers from WKRMLS as part of a regional consolidation effort, the organizations announced this week. The transition is expected to take place in mid-June, with onboarding and training planned for subscribers.
The move brings agents from the Realtor Association of Western Kentucky, Murray Calloway County Board of Realtors and Pennyrile Board of Realtors onto the Imagine MLS platform. The three associations will continue operating independently as local organizations, while MLS services will transition to Imagine MLS.
Subscribers will gain access to a larger regional listing database, expanded technology tools and broader opportunities for cross-market collaboration, according to a news release.
"The transition to Imagine MLS represents an important investment in the future of our members," WKRMLS President Shelly Lewis said, adding that the move adds value for agents while preserving "the strong local relationships that define our association."
'Incredible opportunities' ahead: In late May, Imagine MLS also announced the addition of about 160 subscribers from HCTCAOR. As part of the deal, agents in Christian and Todd counties transitioned from their local MLS to Imagine MLS. HCTCAOR continues to operate as the area's Realtor association.
"The transition provides incredible opportunities for our members," HCTCAOR President Tonja West said in a news release. "Joining Imagine MLS allows our Realtors to connect with a broader marketplace while maintaining the local association that supports our members and the surrounding region."
Momentum MLS integrates Gitcha buyer demand tool
Arizona-based Momentum MLS has partnered with Gitcha to integrate its Buyer Listing Service into the MLS's platform, giving members visibility into verified buyer demand alongside active listings.
The integration will allow members of the recently rebranded MLS to review buyer needs, including desired property features, preferred locations, budget ranges and financing timelines. The goal is to create a more balanced marketplace by helping agents identify buyer demand that may not be visible through traditional listing data, according to a news release.
The partnership, which follows a similar deal with MIBOR Broker Listing Cooperative that was announced in April, gives serious buyers a way to communicate what they need, allowing the broader market to respond, said Dan Cooper, CEO of Gitcha.
"In an industry where buyer support is increasingly under pressure, we believe it's more important than ever to champion both sides of the transaction," Momentum MLS CEO Kim Everett said. "The Buyer Listing Service gives our members powerful new tools to amplify buyer voices and actively shape a healthier, more balanced market."
