IRES MLS exec promoted for second time this year

IRES MLS has named Julie Dahl its new CEO just eight months after Dahl moved into the MLS's C-suite as chief operating officer. She succeeds Jeff Bosch as he prepares to become CEO of Arizona Regional MLS.

Dahl has been with IRES for 23 years, joining the Northern Colorado MLS as director of training and communications before moving into several leadership positions spanning operations and industry relations. As CEO, Dahl will focus on supporting IRES staff and customers, maintaining customer service and satisfaction, and strengthening operations as the organization responds to changes across the real estate and MLS landscape, according to a news release.

Bosch will stay with IRES to support the leadership transition before moving on to his new role, the MLS noted.

IRES' board "is delighted to elevate Julie to this new role," said David Powell, board of managers chair. "She brings a powerful combination of organizational and industry knowledge plus fresh perspectives, energy and ideas. We look forward to working with her to take IRES to the next level."

The Agency adds VP to guide regional growth

The Agency has named industry veteran Jim Lonergan vice president of franchise sales, a role in which he will oversee sales across the Midwest and South Central regions of the U.S. as well as in Canada.

Lonergan spent about 20 years at Realogy prior to the company's transition to Anywhere Real Estate, holding various senior leadership roles focused on strategic growth and franchise sales. He also brings experience in franchise development, brokerage relationships and expansion across U.S. markets, according to a news release.

As VP at The Agency, Lonergan will develop relationships with independent brokerages and real estate professionals while supporting sales and expansion in his assigned markets. The appointment comes as the firm, which now has over 180 offices globally, continues expanding in the U.S. and in international markets.

Citing his years of experience in the industry, Lonergan said he believes "the future is boutique," where the firms that succeed will provide both clients and agents with "a more personal, high-touch experience backed by a powerful global brand."

"The Agency has built something truly differentiated by combining that entrepreneurial, relationship-driven approach with an exceptional platform and global reach," Lonergan added. "I'm excited to join the team and help bring that model to very strategic markets."
