Editor's note: From regional and statewide players to locals focused on a single market, multiple listings services and Realtor associations are the backbone of residential real estate. Here we highlight some of the latest news about the organizations that are shaping the future of the industry.

MRED brings on new MLS partner

Iowa's NoCoast MLS and Chicagoland's Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) have partnered, the companies announced today. NoCoast, which serves five area Realtor associations, will retain its brand and historical listing data, while its operations will now be powered by MRED.

The arrangement is designed to broaden market information available to NoCoast's approximately 1,300 members, including access to additional agents and listings through MRED's marketplace, which could support referral opportunities. NoCoast will also gain access to MRED's technology platform, data quality programs, training resources and customer support, according to a news release.

The organizations are already working on technical implementation, with the transition focused on maintaining data continuity and minimizing disruption for NoCoast subscribers.

"Our partnership with MRED will allow us to continually enhance the quality of MLS services we deliver to our customers," said Les Sulgrove, director of NoCoast. "Our customers will benefit from MRED's scale, advanced technology, exceptional support, expanded listing exposure, and lead generation opportunities, deep industry expertise, and strategic leadership as of one of the most customer-centric MLS organizations in the country."

With this latest partnership, MRED now supports 16 Realtor associations and their members.

Hive MLS elevates buyer intel data for members

Hive MLS is teaming up with Gitcha to bring the platform's Buyer Listing Service to its cooperative of nearly 20,000 brokers and appraisers across six states. The move expands the MLS's member offerings to include structured information about buyer demand.

The service, which is slated to roll out to Hive MLS members in December, will allow brokers and agents to create buyer profiles covering location, property type, price range and timing, among other factors. Members will be able to share those profiles across the Hive cooperative and identify potential matches between buyer needs and active or prospective listings, according to a news release.

The agreement expands Gitcha's Buyer Listing Service into a regional MLS cooperative and brings its reach to 10 states. The partnership positions buyer demand alongside property listings within Hive's marketplace, providing members with another source of information when scouting for potential transactions.

"Being broker-centric means giving our members more ways to create business opportunities," Hive MLS CEO Daniel Jones said. "Our partnership with Gitcha gives Hive another way to bring those opportunities into the marketplace and put more useful information in the hands of our members."
