Oren and Tal Alexander sentenced to 30 years for sex trafficking
The ex-luxury brokers and their brother Alon each received the same sentence following their convictions in March on multiple federal sex offenses.
Former luxury brokers Oren and Tal Alexander, along with their brother Alon, an ex-security firm executive, were sentenced to 30 years in prison by Judge Valerie E. Caproni on Oct. 27 for running a sex trafficking scheme that allegedly spanned more than a decade and impacted dozens of victims, including minors.
Judge's sentence reflects a compromise: The three brothers were found guilty in March 2026 on 10 counts, including conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and other federal sex offenses.
Given the magnitude of their crimes, federal prosecutors had argued that the brothers should receive a life sentence in prison. Meanwhile, the defense's legal team was fighting for 15 years for each brother, while also reportedly trying to acquire a pardon from President Trump, according to The New York Times.
Ultimately, Judge Caproni landed on a compromise between the two parties, sentencing each Alexander brother to 30 years, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York announced on Tuesday.
'Finally being held accountable': FBI Assistant Director in Charge James C. Barnacle Jr. said that with the sentencing, the brothers are "finally being held accountable for their reprehensible actions" that were allowed to go unchecked for more than a decade.
"For years, they brazenly abused their power and resources to carry out predatory and deeply harmful sexual violence," Barnacle said in a press statement. "Today marks the beginning of justice for the victims whose courage brought these crimes to light."
NYPD Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch thanked victims who came forward to talk about their experiences, saying the Alexander brothers would "finally face the consequences they deserve."
How we got here: Tal Alexander, 40, and Oren and Alon Alexander, 39, were arrested in December 2024 and charged with sex trafficking.
At the time, then-U.S. Attorney Damian Williams alleged that the three brothers "repeatedly and violently sexually assaulted and raped dozens of female victims" over several years, with an FBI spokesperson adding that they "allegedly conspired using their wealth and status to prey on innocent women."
The brothers have continued to deny any wrongdoing. In November 2025, they filed a defamation lawsuit against The Real Deal related to the outlet's reporting on the allegations, which was later dropped.
Tal and Oren Alexander became industry celebrities while working at Douglas Elliman in the 2010s. They went on to launch their own luxury brokerage, Official Partners, in 2022, which ultimately folded after continued allegations against the brothers came to light.
Lawyers for the brothers did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
