Editor's note: From regional and statewide players to locals focused on a single market, multiple listings services and Realtor associations are the backbone of residential real estate. Here we highlight some of the latest news about the organizations that are shaping the future of the industry.

OneKey MLS signs on with Broker Public Portal for home search

An MLS-backed consumer search portal has gained a major new partner. OneKey MLS, which serves more than 43,000 members in the New York City and Long Island metro areas, has inked a deal with Broker Public Portal (BPP) to power home search on OneKeyMLS.com, the companies announced this week.

BPP unveiled its consumer search site, Cribio.com, in September 2025. The industry-owned initiative, which is focused on serving consumers while keeping data in the hands of MLSs and brokerages, launched with four stakeholders — Canopy MLS, MIBOR, Doorify MLS and MRED — with Illinois-based RMLS Alliance joining in late December. The addition of OneKey expands BPP's reach to a prime market while opening up "meaningful business opportunities" for OneKey MLS members, according to a news release.

The partnership "is about building durable, practical value for the professionals who rely on us every day," said Richard Haggerty, CEO of OneKey MLS. Aligning with BPP, he added, "actively supports our participants by helping connect buyers directly with listing brokerages."

Broker Public Portal, founded more than a decade ago, "exists to deliver a consumer search experience grounded in MLS data and powered by the professionals who create it," said Dan Troup, BPP's CEO. "Our partnership with OneKey MLS brings that vision to life — trusted information, broker attribution, and technology designed for how consumers actually search today."

HAR agreement expands showing access for subscribers

The Houston Association of Realtors (HAR), one of the country's largest local real estate associations and operator of the HAR.com MLS, has announced a new reciprocity agreement with the Beaumont Board of Realtors (BBOR) that makes it easier for members to show homes across Southeast Texas.

HAR.com's roughly 50,000 subscribers will now have automatic access to lockboxes in BBOR's coverage area, allowing Houston-area agents to bring buyers to properties in 10 additional counties without paying extra dues. BBOR members will also have no-cost access to HAR lockboxes.

"This agreement is part of HAR's ongoing commitment to enhancing our MLS subscribers' ability to serve their clients efficiently while expanding their reach into neighboring markets," HAR.com Board Chair Mario Arriaga said in a news release.

HAR also has data-sharing agreements with North Texas Real Estate Information Systems (activated in Sept. 2025) as well as Unlock MLS and LERA MLS (activated in Oct. 2024). Combined, the four MLSs account for more than 80% of the state's listings.
