HouseCanary announced today that Side has become the latest to sign up for its Google Listings Program. The move comes a week after HouseCanary inked its seventh MLS deal and four weeks after the AI-powered national brokerage filed for bankruptcy.

9th-largest brokerage signs on: This latest deal, announced on Oct. 20, will make active listings from Side's over 600 partner firms visible on Google. Consumers who conduct a mobile search for a home in markets where the Google Listings Program is live will see basic listing information and contact details for the listing agent and their firm.

Side is the first brokerage to join the Google Listings Program. As the ninth-largest U.S. brokerage by sales volume, Side's alignment marks a major expansion for the program at a pivotal moment as HouseCanary navigates Chapter 11 reorganization.

Side 'looking for ways to expand': Side is "always looking for ways to expand the tools and opportunities available to our partners," Co-founder and CEO Guy Gal said in a news release. "We want them to have as many options as possible so they can run their businesses the way they want."

HouseCanary CEO Chris Rediger praised the firm's "proactive" move toward securing "exposure to their partners' listings at a national scale," adding that his company is "excited to help brokers take similar steps to democratize listing access."

Adding partners amid Chapter 11: Despite filing for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy last month, HouseCanary has continued to welcome new participants to its Google Listings Program, which officially launched in June following the rollout of an eight-market pilot program.

Rediger addressed the bankruptcy filing in an Oct. 6 blog post, emphasizing that HouseCanary is "still building" and that its advancements over the past several months have given him confidence that the company "will emerge stronger and poised for significant growth in 2027."

HouseCanary added Bright MLS, the nation's largest multiple listing service, as a partner shortly after the program's national launch. Additional MLS partners include My State MLS, Arizona Regional MLS, California Regional MLS, IRES MLS, Permian Basin Board of Realtors, REcolorado and San Diego MLS.
