Alex Vidal trades ERA to lead REMAX’s next era as president
After three years as president of ERA Real Estate, Alex Vidal has moved to REMAX, where he will helm the brand following its acquisition by Real.
Just days after ERA Real Estate announced that Frank Malpica was replacing Alex Vidal as president, the former ERA leader has landed at another major franchise brand.
Vidal has joined REMAX as president, the brokerage revealed today. The transition marks the latest of several leadership moves at the firm and its parent company, Real REMAX Group, since the completion of the Real-REMAX acquisition on Aug. 24.
An industry veteran: Vidal comes to REMAX with 29 years of industry experience. Prior to helming ERA — where he was notably the first Hispanic president of a major brokerage company — he held several real estate sales and leadership roles at brands including Coldwell Banker Realty and Prudential Real Estate.
Early in his career, he created "TheCloserClub" coaching program and has coached more than 30,000 agents over the past two decades, according to a news release.
A central role in REMAX's future: Tamir Poleg, chairman and CEO of Real REMAX Group, said Vidal "understands this business from the ground up and has spent his career helping agents, Broker/Owners and organizations reach the next level of what's possible."
"He brings the experience, drive and competitive mindset this moment calls for," Poleg added, noting that Vidal "will play a central role in turning ambition into action for the global REMAX brand and its network of more than 145,000 agents."
Moving the brand forward: REMAX said Vidal will be tasked with driving global growth, developing new services for affiliates and "shaping the long-term strategic vision of the brand."
"REMAX has an incredible story to tell, and I want to make sure we're telling it in a way that matches the strength of this network," Vidal said. "We're going to move with purpose, and I'm ready to remind the industry exactly what REMAX brings to real estate."
Other leadership changes: Jenna Rozenblat, formerly chief operating officer at Real, was previously named the first president of Real REMAX Group.
Several former REMAX executives have also been appointed to leadership roles at Real REMAX Group:
Amy Somerville, who held multiple leadership roles at REMAX during her 16 years with the brand, was named COO.
Abigail Lee — former chief marketing officer at REMAX — is CMO.
Leah Jenkins, REMAX's chief accounting officer since mid-2023, is serving in the same capacity at Real REMAX Group.
Chris Lim, who joined REMAX in early 2025 as chief growth officer and added the president title in February, will not be part of the new company. Travis Saxton, who has served as REMAX's executive vice president of strategy since January 2025, is also leaving.
