elevateMLS launches consumer home search portal

Colorado Springs-based elevateMLS has unveiled a consumer-facing property search website serving Colorado's Pikes Peak region, giving buyers and sellers access to listings sourced directly from the MLS and updated in real time, the organization announced this week.

It's the latest MLS to launch a site built on Cribio, the consumer home search platform introduced by Broker Public Portal (BPP) last year. The new website, elevateMLS.com, includes recent market data, monthly market trends, an agent directory and a filter for professionals with the Military Relocation Professional certification — something the MLS said it wanted to surface given the number of military families in the area. Through BPP's network, elevateMLS listings also appear on Cribio.com and partner MLS websites.

Because "the MLS sets the rules," consumer inquiries are sent directly to listing agents rather than advertisers, elevateMLS noted, and any changes to listings are visible immediately.

Other MLSs that have adopted the Cribio platform for consumer search include Stellar, which launched its website three weeks ago, as well as Northwest MLS, NorthstarMLS, MetroList, One Key MLS, RMLS Alliance, Canopy MLS, MIBOR, Doorify MLS and MRED.

Orion partners with HUB to expand MLS insurance options

Orion Real Estate Data Exchange has teamed up with insurance provider HUB International to help support MLS organizations beyond its initial California, Nevada and Oregon markets.

The partnership, which was first announced at the end of September, allows HUB's MLS-focused team to work with interested organizations to assess their risks and develop coverage proposals. Options include errors and omissions, general liability, cyber liability, directors and officers, management liability, business insurance and workers' compensation coverage, according to a news release.

The offerings are intended to address the "unique risks" faced by MLSs in the areas of technology services, sensitive listing data, board governance, employment practices and business operations.

"Orion was built on the belief that MLS organizations are stronger when they have access to resources designed around the way they operate," MetroList President and CEO Dave Howe said in the release. The partnership "gives MLS organizations outside our region an opportunity to explore insurance solutions that address their specific needs," Howe added.

Launched by MetroList, Northern Nevada Regional MLS and Oregon Data Share, Orion is a multi-state data network designed to support collaboration among real estate professionals.
